Christine and
Kevin’s 100 year old farm house, is full of character and charm. The house has
full central heating, and a log fire, so is ideal for an off season break.
The three
bedrooms, each with private facilities, have beams and exposed stone walls.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 are fully en-suite, bedroom 3 the facilities are in adjacent
room. A cot is available if required.
The
galleried landing has a sitting area where you can relax and read.
The lounge, which is
shared with the owners, is warm and cosy, and has a solid wood floor, and wood
burning stove.
Breakfast is served in the lounge, and evening meals, if required, are taken in the large farm house kitchen,
with Christine and Kevin. The
large private garden, has lovely views across the surrounding countryside,
extending to the village of Mellé and its church.
The house is situated in
the old hamlet of Les Vairies, and is on a way marked trail provided by the
‘Patrimoine Rurale’. Numerous information boards along the trail describe
the history and countryside of Mellé.
